A Prayer For March

Special Prayer for Ukraine and Global Crises

"And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

Colossians 1:16

Dear Father,

We come before you today to intercede on behalf of the people of Ukraine. We ask for your mercy and your rescue. We declare that Jesus reigns supreme over Ukraine and that through Jesus, all things are held together. Lord, would you fill your church in Ukraine with your love and peace and protect them from fear and hatred? Give them strength to be your hands and feet in this time of crisis. Thank you for raising up the global church to come alongside our brothers and sisters in Ukraine to administer your compassion and justice. Break the arm of the evildoer, God, and bring oppressive power under your lordship. Even while our hearts break for Ukraine, we want to acknowledge that there are so many other similar situations happening around the world that are not getting the attention that Ukraine is receiving right now - Myanmar, Yemen, Ethiopia, the DRC, Haiti, Afghanistan, and so many more. But, Father, you see them all. And you are active in every situation around the globe.

We cry out to you in a special way for those with disabilities who are not able to defend themselves and flee to safety in times of crisis. Many have been abandoned and left to fend for themselves. We pray that You would rescue them, Father. Surround them with Your angels and let them know that You have not abandoned them. Equip churches, ministries, and governments who have welcomed refugees with disabilities. Give these organizations compassion, love, and empathy as they care for your precious image-bearers.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Christ, who defeated evil and death on the cross and has given us, His church, resurrection power!
